From Paris with Love: Cycling for Breast Cancer

What could make a trip to Paris even more special?

Paris – the city of lights, love and sights. People dream of visiting Paris at least once in their lifetime, to drink in the city that has been hailed as one of the most beautiful in the world. A trip to city is made even more special for Breast Cancer Advocates as they are riding to Paris for breast cancer survivors all over the globe.

The London to Paris Ride for Breast Cancer is the brain child of Breast Cancer Now, a research charity based out of England. It is their aim that by the year 2050, all women diagnosed breast cancer survive. The BCN is unyielding in their quest to find a cure, continuously hosting fund raising events to support research.

Only by working together can we finally help eradicate breast cancer.

The BCN encourages everyone -all ages and abilities- to take part in their fundraising event.  Adrenaline junkies can do sky diving or Tough Mudder – an obstacle course through hills, mud and fire. There are also laid-back events such as “Wear It Pink” and the Raise and Give (RAG) initiative. You can go ahead and visit them for more ideas on how to further the cause.

The ride from London to Paris takes advocates through scenic Southern England and Northern France. The group will also make stops on monuments and landmarks before culminating at the Eiffel Tower. Talk about taking a trip of a lifetime!

The route is long and may be challenging at some points. This is why it is recommended that participants undergo training prior to joining this event. A local riding club can help you train or you can also use the Guides and FAQs available on the BCN website. There are still a few rides left before they end the season this September!
