New Jersey Angel’s Foundation Walk on September 29th

As a nurse, she has devoted her life to ensuring her patients are well cared for and receive appropriate treatments. When she was diagnosed with cancer, Minette’s passion for others never faltered.  She continued to help
other cancer patients while she was undergoing her own battle.

In 2003, after a 10-year bout with the disease, Minette passed way.

This inspiring woman has led to the establishment of Minette Grosso McKenna Angel Foundation. The foundation continued their namesake’s passion for helping cancer patients and their families throughout their ordeal. They employ many different kinds of fundraising activities to support various education, research, and treatment programs in the country.

This coming September 29th, Minette’s Angels will be hosting their very first fundraising walk at the picturesque Verona Park in New Jersey.  Hundreds of advocates living in and around Verona are expected to show their support.  Attendees will be treated to various educational and fun activities at 11am before the walk begins at 1pm.

The Angels want to get together with longtime supporters of their cause. Walk in the Park will also honor their longtime partners in helping survivors. The owners of Hillcrest Farms, Mr. and Mrs. Pat Filoso as well as surgeons from the Center for Breast Health and Disease Management at Barnabas Health Ambulatory Care Center will be recognized for their generosity and service to the survivors.

Since September is a long way off, you can still register for the event by visiting their website. Aside from participating in the event and meeting fellow survivors, you can also send your donations or sponsor a person to attend the event!

Minette Grosso McKenna lived a life of service.

Minette’s Angels help survivors and their families through these difficult times by assisting them in their daily needs. They use the funds to buy gift cards to local supermarkets, restaurants and gas stations. The Angels want to help families enjoy a semblance of a normal life despite their battle with breast cancer.

Scholarships are given to support students who want to be in the healthcare profession. Furthermore, high school seniors with a parent diagnosed with breast cancer are given financial aid.

This coming October, the foundation also distributes Pink Sporting Gear to various schools. Watch out for football, volleyball, soccer, and tennis teams rocking pink gear to spread awareness about breast cancer.

Watch out for more of their upcoming Angels’ events this year!
